1½ cups (375 mL) quick oats
175 ml (¾ cup) Bran flakes, crushed lightly with your hands (Bran flakes can be replaced with corn flakes)
¼ cup (60 mL) all-purpose flour
125 ml (½ cup) chocolate chips
1/3 cup (80 mL) honey
1 apple, peeled and grated
5 ml (1 teaspoon) vanilla
1 ml (¼ teaspoon) of salt
- Place the rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 180 ° C (350 ° F). Oil a square pan or cover the mold with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients until the texture is even.
- Pour the mixture into the mold and evenly level the top by pressing with the back of a spoon.
Bake 30 minutes or until top of bars is lightly browned.
Let cool before cutting into 14 bars (2 x 7).
